Private Suites

Enjoy the comforts and privacy of your own suite, decorated to your own taste. Bring your own furniture or if you’d rather, we can provide you with all the basics; bed, dresser, nightstand and linens. As a heritage building, each of our rooms are unique and have plenty of distinctive character.

Common Areas

There are a number of common areas located throughout the building, with a large gathering room on the main floor. With many avid readers, this area features a robust library with a regular book exchange program to ensure there are always new and exciting titles to delve into. Nothing beats reading a good book, curled up in a comfortable chair, overlooking the beautiful Waterford Ponds and historic Black Bridge.

Enjoy the charm of downtown Waterford or the stunning vistas of the Ponds and Black Bridge from one of our balconies or the veranda. The sunset is a breathtaking sight. Plus, enjoy a lovely outdoor patio at the rear of the building leading to the Waterford Heritage Trail system.

Programs and Activities

We have a full calendar of activities at Golden Pond with many programs and events available for you, including musical guests, card games, crafts, exercise, bingo, and fellowship. Participate as much or as little as you’d would like. We also have regular on-site religious services for those who would like to attend.

Golden Pond Retirement Living is located right in the heart of downtown Waterford. Enjoy a relaxed, small-town lifestyle with wonderful locally-owned shops and services only steps away. Take a stroll to Ritzy Deli and Bakery for a coffee and sweet treat, or wander through the Waterford Antique Market to see what treasures are waiting for you.

Located only a few feet from the building, you have easy access to the paved Waterford Heritage Trail, where you can take in the scenic views and listen to the birds singing their happy tunes.

Our bright and welcoming dining room serves amazing meals and snacks that are prepared on-site using fresh in-season produce and quality meats. With ingredients sourced locally, you know our meals are full of fresh flavour and are supporting your community.

Our team includes a Registered Practical Nurse available throughout the week. Our kitchen, housekeeping and personal support workers are here to assist you 24 hours a day.
