Welcome to Waterford

Waterford is a picturesque small town located in Norfolk County, ON. It has a very active population and various activities and community initiatives throughout the year. Located in the downtown area, Golden Pond Retirement Living puts you within walking distance of many great shops and services, including restaurants, coffee shops and bakery, a local gift shop, a pharmacy, antique markets, and a welcoming brewery with a patio.

Our residence is also located along a beautiful well, well-maintained paved walking trail. The Waterford Heritage Trail and Shadlow Lake Park are literally right at our doorstep. While you are free to explore your own we also have a regular walking group in the summer months.

While Waterford’s location makes it ideal for a quiet peaceful lifestyle, it is still close to many health services and practitioners. Within the town, you have access to dental care, chiropractors, osteopathy, counselling, eye care and more. For additional health care services and options it is just a 16 min drive to Simcoe. This is also where you will find General Practitioner Doctors and The Norfolk General Hospital. 

We have parking available for residents who are still driving plus there are a number of taxi drivers and a there is also a senior support services transportation program for the area as well.
